Practicing HTML5 Canvas

My favorite is the peenk one.

HTML5 Canvas is a miserable, miserable beast... but I feel like I'm well on my way to conquering it. I spent like 4 hours coding these balloons and they're mostly simple circles!

The code used to create this image is after the jump!

Introductions

And here we observe the Krystal in her natural habitat.

Hey there! I'm Krystal, and this is my brand new art blog for my ART 210 class. I feel like this class is going to be a good one. Good, but certainly challenging, and I can't wait to begin. I have never taken this type of class before, so I'm excited to learn more about the digital arts. One thing I'm looking forward to the most is being surrounded by creative people in the class. It will be so nice to help each other along as we share, learn, and grow.

I always struggle with these "talk about yourself" assignments because I find it difficult to decide what I should say. Human beings aren't meant to be summed up in a few concise sentences! I suppose I'll start with saying that I have been creating art all my life. I am especially familiar with digital media. I've been working with most versions of Adobe Photoshop for about a decade and it is my favorite program to use. I've used inDesign for about two years to make layouts while I was the Head Editor of my high school newspaper. I'm mildly familiar with HTML coding and Adobe Illustrator, however I have had no experience with Dreamweaver. I am so excited to learn more about these programs this semester.

I expect this class to be challenging, but not impossible. I know I am going to have to really work hard for an A. That being said, I hope this class is one of my most fun and influential classes as well!

Here's to looking forward to a great semester!
